Restoring the image of God in the World.
March 2017 we will be departing for a ten day mission trip to the mountains of Guatemala, a country that endured a civil war from 1960 to 1996. As a result of the violence, thousands of women and children were widowed and orphaned. It is not uncommon for these poor, unselfish widows to care for multiple, unrelated children. In many cases these families live in crude huts or lean-tos. The purpose of this trip is to help build homes for some of these widows and children. The homes that we will build are basic 10’ X 10’ wooden structures that will ultimately house an entire family. We will be staying in the same villages where we are building these houses. This provides a wonderful opportunity to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ as we experience the Central American culture.
